Distinctive to all who wear it, the cerebral scent of blue ink on white paper conjures late nights in dimly lit libraries. Papyrus India, vetiver Haiti and cedar wood fused with elemi Iran and rose, with hints of ambroxan and isobutyl quinoline.

My love of smelling ink in the classroom as a child, hands stained with a smudge of blue, waiting patiently for it to dry on white paper. The smell of old books in libraries and bookshops always soothed me and sparked my imagination, and that feeling led to this creation.

Lyn Harris grew up between Scotland and Yorkshire, trained at Robertet in Grasse, and works from her own lab in London. Perfumer H writes landscapes: eaux named for what they smell like, then the same names as lotion, soap, candle, incense, tea. Start with the 50ml. The 100ml is handblown by Michael Ruh in London, made to be refilled and kept.
